# Bestiary — Ocarina of Time remake

- **Deku Baba** (Kokiri Forest, Inside the Deku Tree, Bottom of the Well): weakness Sword; Deku Nuts stun it. Hit it while it lunges so it stiffens upright, then cut it down for a Deku Stick; kill it while it's idle for nuts instead.
- **Withered Deku Baba** (Kokiri Forest, Inside the Deku Tree): weakness Any attack. It's harmless unless you walk into it, so cut every one you pass to stock up on sticks.
- **Big Deku Baba** (Kokiri Forest, Forest Temple): weakness Sword, ideally a jump attack. Wait for it to lunge and pull back, then strike before it can snap at you again.
- **Deku Scrub** (Inside the Deku Tree): weakness Its own Deku Nut deflected with your shield. Hold your shield up facing it until a nut bounces back into its face, then catch the scrub as it flees for a hint.
- **Mad Scrub** (Sacred Forest Meadow, Kokiri Forest): weakness Its own Deku Nuts deflected with your shield. It fires nuts in bursts of three, so keep your shield raised until the volley ends, then chase it down.
- **Business Scrub** (Lost Woods, Hyrule Field, Lon Lon Ranch, Goron City, Death Mountain Crater, Zora's River, Lake Hylia, Gerudo Valley, Desert Colossus, Dodongo's Cavern, Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly, Ganon's Castle): weakness Its own Deku Nut deflected with your shield. Bounce its nut back to knock it out of hiding, and it offers to sell you seeds, sticks, shields or upgrades.
- **Keese** (Kakariko Graveyard, Dodongo's Cavern, Fire Temple, Water Temple, Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, Bottom of the Well, Ganon's Castle): weakness Any hit; ranged weapons are easiest. Pick them off with the Fairy Slingshot, Boomerang, Fairy Bow or Hookshot before they flutter close.
- **Fire Keese** (Dodongo's Cavern, Fire Temple, Shadow Temple, Bottom of the Well, Gerudo Training Ground): weakness Any hit; ranged weapons are easiest. Its flames burn up a Deku Shield, so shoot it down before it reaches you.
- **Ice Keese** (Ice Cavern): weakness Any hit; ranged weapons are easiest. Its touch freezes you briefly, so keep your distance and use the Fairy Bow.
- **Skulltula** (Inside the Deku Tree, Forest Temple, Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, Ganon's Castle): weakness Its soft underside. Its back shell shrugs off hits, so wait for it to turn and show its belly before you strike.
- **Big Skulltula** (Inside the Deku Tree, Bottom of the Well): weakness Its soft underside. It takes more hits than a regular Skulltula; strike only while its belly faces you.
- **Skullwalltula** (Inside the Deku Tree, Dodongo's Cavern, Death Mountain Trail, Forest Temple): weakness Ranged attacks, or a sword if you can reach. It crawls on climbable walls and knocks you off on contact, so clear it with a ranged weapon before you climb.
- **Gold Skulltula** (Kokiri Forest, Lost Woods, Sacred Forest Meadow, Hyrule Field, Lon Lon Ranch, Hyrule Market, Hyrule Castle, Outside Ganon's Castle, Kakariko Village, Kakariko Graveyard, Death Mountain Trail, Goron City, Death Mountain Crater, Zora's River, Zora's Domain, Zora's Fountain, Lake Hylia, Gerudo Valley, Gerudo's Fortress, Haunted Wasteland, Desert Colossus, Inside the Deku Tree, Dodongo's Cavern, Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly, Forest Temple, Fire Temple, Water Temple, Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, Bottom of the Well, Ice Cavern): weakness Any weapon; it takes more hits than a regular Skulltula. Many only come out at night; listen for their rattle, and use the Boomerang or Hookshot to grab a token that lands out of reach.
- **Gohma Larva** (Inside the Deku Tree): weakness Sword (two hits); shooting its egg kills it outright. When its eye turns red it's about to pounce, so sidestep and counter, or break the egg with the Fairy Slingshot before it hatches.
- **Dodongo** (Dodongo's Cavern): weakness Its tail; bombs. It breathes fire from the front, so circle to its tail, and back away after the kill because it explodes.
- **Baby Dodongo** (Dodongo's Cavern): weakness Sword. It bursts out of the ground and blows up when defeated, so step back right after the final hit.
- **Beamos** (Dodongo's Cavern, Bottom of the Well, Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, Gerudo Training Ground, Ganon's Castle): weakness Bombs or Bombchus. Its eye sweeps the room and fires a beam when it sees you; one bomb destroys a normal Beamos, while the large Shadow Temple version takes two.
- **Armos** (Dodongo's Cavern, Spirit Temple): weakness Bombs, Bomb Flowers or Bombchus. It springs to life when touched and hops after you, then explodes when destroyed, so keep your distance.
- **Lizalfos** (Dodongo's Cavern, Spirit Temple): weakness Sword after it drops its guard; Deku Nuts stun it. They usually fight in pairs and take turns, so lock on to the one attacking and counter after each lunge.
- **Dinolfos** (Gerudo Training Ground, Ganon's Castle): weakness Deku Nuts, then jump attacks; arrows. Unlike Lizalfos they'll gang up on you, so stun one with a Deku Nut and finish it before the other closes in.
- **Red Tektite** (Death Mountain Trail): weakness Sword; ranged attacks. It hops around unpredictably; lock on and strike right as it lands.
- **Blue Tektite** (Zora's River, Lake Hylia, Water Temple): weakness Sword on land; Hookshot or arrows on water. It can skate across water, so lure it onto land or stun it with the Hookshot before finishing it.
- **Octorok** (Zora's River, Lake Hylia, Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly): weakness Its own rocks deflected with your shield; Boomerang. Raise your shield and let its spat rocks bounce straight back into it.
- **Biri** (Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly): weakness Boomerang; Deku Nuts. Slashing it while it crackles shocks you, so hit it from range with the Boomerang; the Fairy Slingshot does nothing to it.
- **Bari** (Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly): weakness Boomerang. It splits into three Biri when beaten, so be ready to deal with the small ones right away.
- **Shabom** (Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly): weakness Deku Nuts; Boomerang. These bubbles pop and knock you back on contact; a Deku Nut bursts every one nearby at once.
- **Stinger** (Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly, Water Temple): weakness Boomerang or jump attack; arrows as an adult. It swoops out of the water at you, so time a jump attack or shoot it from a ledge.
- **Tailpasaran** (Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly): weakness Boomerang to the tail. Its body is electrified, so never slash it; aim the Boomerang at its tail instead.
- **Parasitic Tentacle** (Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly): weakness Boomerang to its narrow segment. Each colored tentacle blocks part of Jabu-Jabu, and cutting it down opens new areas of the dungeon.
- **Peahat** (Hyrule Field): weakness Its dangling roots. By day it flies on spinning blades, so slash the roots while it hovers low; striking a dormant one at night releases Peahat Larvae.
- **Peahat Larva** (Hyrule Field): weakness Your shield. Hold up your shield and let them crash into it or the ground; they break apart on impact.
- **Leever** (Haunted Wasteland, Desert Colossus): weakness Sword. They burrow through the sand and charge in a straight line, so it's usually easier to run past them.
- **Purple Leever** (Haunted Wasteland, Desert Colossus): weakness Sword. This big variant shows up after you defeat enough Leevers; it's slower but can turn to chase you.
- **Guay** (Lon Lon Ranch, Lake Hylia, Desert Colossus): weakness Sword or Fairy Bow. They keep respawning, and defeating ten summons a larger Guay that drops a more valuable Rupee.
- **Stalchild** (Hyrule Field): weakness Sword; a horizontal slash knocks off its head. They rise only at night while you're a child, and defeating several in a row calls up a giant Stalchild with better loot.
- **Poe** (Kakariko Graveyard, Hyrule Field): weakness Sword; arrows. It fades from sight between attacks, so wait for it to swing its lantern, then strike and catch its soul in an empty Bottle.
- **Big Poe** (Hyrule Field): weakness Fairy Bow (two hits). They appear only while you ride Epona as an adult; shoot them from the saddle and sell the bottled souls to the Poe Collector in Hyrule Market.
- **ReDead** (Kakariko Graveyard, Hyrule Market, Bottom of the Well, Shadow Temple, Ganon's Castle): weakness Sword; the Sun's Song freezes it. Its scream paralyzes you if you're close and facing it, so approach from behind or freeze it with the Sun's Song.
- **Gibdo** (Bottom of the Well, Shadow Temple): weakness Sword; the Sun's Song freezes it. Like a ReDead, it freezes you with a shriek and latches on, so play the Sun's Song before you get close.
- **Like Like** (Fire Temple, Water Temple, Shadow Temple, Bottom of the Well, Gerudo Training Ground, Ganon's Castle): weakness Sword; arrows from range. It swallows your shield and tunic, so kill it before leaving the room or your gear is gone for good.
- **Wallmaster** (Forest Temple, Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, Bottom of the Well, Gerudo Training Ground, Ganon's Castle): weakness Sword once it hits the floor. Keep moving when you see a growing shadow; if it grabs you, it drops you back at the dungeon entrance.
- **Floormaster** (Forest Temple, Shadow Temple): weakness Sword; Din's Fire. It splits into three small hands when beaten, and they regroup unless you destroy all of them quickly.
- **Anubis** (Spirit Temple): weakness Fire: Din's Fire or Fire Arrows. It mirrors your movement, so you can also walk it into a nearby flame to burn it.
- **Torch Slug** (Fire Temple, Gerudo Training Ground, Ganon's Castle): weakness Hookshot, then sword. Hitting it puts out its flame for a moment, so finish it off before the fire reignites.
- **Freezard** (Ice Cavern, Ganon's Castle): weakness Din's Fire or Fire Arrows; sword. Its icy breath freezes you, so attack from the side or melt it with fire.
- **Spike** (Water Temple): weakness Hookshot or a shield block, then sword. Once a hit makes it pull in its spikes, it's just a rock you can slash.
- **Shell Blade** (Water Temple, Gerudo Training Ground): weakness Hookshot or an arrow into its open mouth. Its shell blocks attacks, so wait for it to open and aim for the pink flesh inside.
- **Flying Floor Tile** (Fire Temple, Spirit Temple): weakness Your shield. Tiles rise from the floor and fly at you one after another, so face them with your shield raised until the barrage ends.
- **Flying Pot** (Ice Cavern, Bottom of the Well): weakness Your shield. Some pots lift off and fly at you; block them with your shield, and they shatter, sometimes dropping an item.
- **Blue Bubble** (Forest Temple): weakness Hookshot; your shield when it's lit. Stun it with the Hookshot, or let its burning body hit your shield, then slash the skull while it's exposed.
- **Red Bubble** (Death Mountain Crater, Fire Temple): weakness Deku Nuts; sword once its fire is out. It leaps out of lava wreathed in flame, so knock out its fire before you strike.
- **Green Bubble** (Forest Temple, Spirit Temple, Bottom of the Well, Ganon's Castle): weakness Sword while its flame is out. Its green fire flickers on and off, so wait for a gap and a single slash finishes it.
- **White Bubble** (Spirit Temple): weakness Arrows or Longshot, then sword. Shoot it while it spins to knock it out of the air, then slash it.
- **Moblin** (Sacred Forest Meadow): weakness Hookshot or sword from behind. These spear-carrying guards charge when they spot you, so stay out of their line of sight and hit them when they turn away.
- **Club Moblin** (Sacred Forest Meadow): weakness Sword from behind; Bombchus. Its club slam sends a shockwave along the ground, but it turns slowly, so get behind it and slash.
- **Wolfos** (Sacred Forest Meadow, Forest Temple, Gerudo Training Ground, Ganon's Castle): weakness Sword to its back. It blocks frontal attacks, so let it swipe first and hit it as it recoils.
- **White Wolfos** (Ice Cavern, Gerudo Training Ground): weakness Sword to its back and tail. Twice as tough as a regular Wolfos; strike its back during the pause after its claw attack.
- **Stalfos** (Forest Temple, Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, Gerudo Training Ground, Ganon's Castle): weakness Sword after it drops its guard; Deku Nuts. It blocks most swings, so counter after its attack whiffs and finish pairs close together before one reassembles.
- **Gerudo Guard** (Gerudo's Fortress): weakness Arrows; Hookshot stuns them. If one spots you, she throws you in a cell, so sneak past or stun them; they leave you alone once you have Gerudo's Card.
- **Skull Kid** (Lost Woods): weakness Sword; Fairy Bow. As an adult you're no friend of theirs, and they shoot projectiles while keeping their distance, so close in quickly or use arrows.
